YXL West is going home to Horn Creek!

Due to cutbacks at Glorieta, the conference center near Santa Fe, NM that has hosted YXL for the last 7 years, we are moving to a new location for 2012.
Or perhaps I should say we’re moving back to an old location – Horn Creek, Colorado, in the Wet Mountain Valley near Westcliffe, Colorado. We’ll be in the same Sangre de Cristo mountains as Glorieta, just about 5 hours further north.
YXL started at Horn Creek in 1977, back when we called it “National Presbyterian and Reformed Youth Leadership Conference.” We relocated to Glorieta for cost reasons, but we’re glad to say that it is once again affordable for us to go back.
Horn Creek is a fantastic place. We’ll be at the Ranch facility, which is a perfect setup for a conference like YXL. You can read more about it here: http://www.horncreek.org/
We will of course have to change the name of this website

YXL West is Moving!

You may have heard that Glorieta Conference Center where YXL West has been meeting for the last 7 years has been going through some financial difficulties (the leaks in the roof may have been a hint). They have announced a major cut back in their operations, and will only be hosting the Centrifuge camps in the summer. You can read more about it here:Â http://glorietaconferencecenter.org/statement
Glorieta has been a wonderful host to us, and we are deeply thankful for their service to the kingdom. Please join us in praying that God would bless them and guide them through this time. We would all love to see Glorieta thriving again.
So, we’re moving to a new location in 2012, most likely in Colorado. We’re finalizing the agreement now and will announce the new location as soon as everything is confirmed.

Last day to register is July 4th!

Monday, July 4th is the last day to register for YXL Glorieta 2011. We’ve got a full house, can’t wait to see everyone! Please pray for God to prepare hearts, grant safe travel, and bless speakers and staff.
FYI – due to fire hazards we will not be able to hike Santa Fe Baldy this year. We’ll have alternate activities for Tuesday.

Registration open for YXL 2011

Registration is now open for YXL Glorieta 2011. The cost is $475 for students, $450 if you register and pay on or before May 30th.
Update May 12, 2011 – Some of you may have experienced trouble with the registration form recently. We upgraded the form system and it should work correctly now.
